I actually like the minimal, old timey look, but the render seems a bit stretched?

I like the simplicity of this sig.
And like Krunch said I like the old look it has and the render does seem stretched out a bit to me as well.
I like when people say they actually looked at a tut then tried the rest themselves.

I've seen the stock photo of this, doesn't look like you did anything to it but turn it black and white?

Nice contrast and textures, composition is good aswell, just move your render further up the canvas.
