So your saying it will not record via HDMI on PS3 because of protection rules. It show on there spec sheet will work with a PS3, but as i type it dose not state HDMI will work. Can u please confirm for me. I was just about to buy this before i read your post about the HDMI.
Look around on Google you'll see that many have stated that video capture through HDMI is not possible due to HDCP

Unless the new BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle has HDCP bypass, then it can record in 1080p via HDMI.
But MW2 runs in 1080p on my TV, non-upscaled. Also, you can use 1080p with Component cables, just HDMI is much faster.
They can not use a HDCP bypass, they would be sued by many companies. If Sony would disable HDCP when gaming then it would work. The reason HDCP isn't implemented on the 360 is because it can't play Blu-ray discs, HDCP is a protection built into the Blu-Ray discs and players.
MW2 isn't 1080p, it's native resolution is actually 600p (
You must login or register to view this content.) so yes, it is being upscaled. I can select only 1080p on my PS3 and everything will be forced (upscaled) into 1080p.

BlackMagic Designs actually sells there productions to privately owned businesses and then you buy them at the same price from the dealer, only paying for Shipping and Handling.
The only good plus about buying from a private vendor, is that you can buy from a close by one and get it faster.
Unlike Hauppauge, I believe? Correct me if I am wrong.
Hauppauge is based out of Hauppage, NY. But if you can buy from many other places such as Amazon which will use the closest distribution center to you that has them in stock.
