It's possible that laptop will run the hd pvr capture software (Total Media Extreme) and playback the hd video, but it's most likely going to be laggy/choppy because the minimum requirements call for at least a dual core 2GHz cpu and a video card with at least 256mb of memory. I would spending a little more money and getting this

This is a dual core 2GHz cpu with a decent video card (ati radeon hd 4200) for a little more then the laptop you were looking at. If it's not important that you get a laptop and you can use a desktop pc I'd go for this
You must login or register to view this content. which is about the same price as the laptop but more powerful (quad core) all you would need is a mouse, keyboard, and monitor or hdtv to use as a monitor.

I have a AMD Phenom II x4 940 (3GHz) quad core, 4GB of memory, and a XFX Radeon HD 4830 video card. The HD PVR playback and recording runs flawlessly on my system.
