1) Is there an HD PVR that records the video files to the HD PVR itself, instead of having it record to your PC; making it so you can later transfer the video files to your PC? Like an HD PVR that has memory?
NO
2) Is there an HD PVR like above ^^ that also allows playback from the HD PVR to the TV?
No.
3) Is my only PS3 out option component cables for recording?
No. You can use composite or component cables. I believe there is a new HD PVR coming out that will allow for HDMI.
4) Do component cables go up to full 1080p?
No, they go up to 1080i. My HD PVR records in 1080i.
5) Do component cables transfer the full 120Hz?
Not sure on this one.
6) Is there a delay going from the PS3, to the HD PVR, to the TV?
No. If there is, it's not significant that I can tell.
7) What HD PVR or HD recording devive would you recommend for me?
HD PVR is pretty user friendly. Files are easy to edit in Sony Vegas. I don't have experience with any other HD recorders.
Thank you if you answer me. I would like to make some sick MW2 videos.
Moving to video section.
