The Hauppauge will record in 1080i. You will also need composite cables. It is not compatible with an HDMI.

For HDMI you will need an internal capture card which range from $150 - $300

Component cables (red, green, blue for video + red and white for analog audio left & right) Not composite (single yellow is for video, red and white is for analog audio left & right)



You can NOT record anything on the PS3 using HDMI. The HDMI signal is protected with HDCP, don't believe me then go waste your money and find out the hard way.
