(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); ok
so i've had an HDPVR for a few month's now but never really used it that much down to this reason:

Once i have rendereded the video in sony vegas (takes hours) i fail everytime at trying to get my vid onto youtube.

e.g - i have a 6 min video - 700mb
this should upload right?

So i'm after some sony vegas settings that produce decent quality and are of a small file size.
Also any tips for uploading to youtube

100k vbux for the most useful reply Smile

You must login or register to view this content.

EDIT: its better now - must have been processing

Yeah you must be trying to watch the video before youtube is finished processing, because i just watched it in HD in the expanded screen size and it's crystal clear Claps

The reason it would take long to render is you have a weak computer. I use a quad core with 4gb of ram. And the reason that it takes forever to upload is because your isp is slow or you are uploading at a busy time. You're not going to get any better than with those basic settings I posted for the HD PVR unless you use some color correction and other filters if needed.

Yeah sometimes youtube acts up and says error even when nothing is wrong :mad:

Extra memory will help, but rendering time relies primarily on CPU power, or even GPU power (graphics card) if the software supports it. This is why you'll see large groups of powerful PCs (called a render farm) to help speed up render time. Vegas supports multiple computer rendering, but I've never messed with it. When you choose "Render As" in Vegas you'll see "Render using networked computers".
