2. The color scheme is off. Use the eyedropper to get the same color as the stock for your BG.
3. For borders, add it only to the top and bottom. Not on the sides.
4. Text shouldn't be more important than the render.
Welcome to the world of GFX bud.

Ok I got two things to say about this.
1: For stocks sometimes it's a good thing to render out the focal as it may suit a better BG(In this case not)
3: Borders can be made any size, shape, style, position, colour as long as it fits.
I can see where your coming from with the CnC but there were some flaws in it....Learn from this...

Back to the sig...You need to add more to your future sigs,They won't look nice without anything on them..The stock was a bad choice as it was way to big for a sig...You should look at tutorials and get tips from fellow GFXers..Most of what I could have said was already said but I do have to say good job on rendering the stock for a first attempt it was very good...With text as a beginner try use minimal of it as it is very hard to master ( I sure haven't mastered it :p) Keep working on your sigs and please don't give up you will get some hard criticism but you just have to shake it off and learn from it...All I have left to say is never get discouraged and experiment with everything you can it was a step forward to making sigs for me.

There's some good posts in here that many beginners should look at. If I can remember this site that offers so many amazing tutorials that my old art teacher in graphic design gave us, I'll post it. Smile The tuts there were pretty cool, good quality, and was very beginner friendly. For now try youtube and definitely listen to what the other members said. Smile

You'll probably be better off following a few tuts, then once you get a better understanding of PS, making sigs with less reliance on tutorials. As for this sig, it's a bit boring, the text it bad, and the render has a white line around it :p
