O so you're editing them as well. Or do you just have a super high-tech camera. Either way they're really nice great job. What island is Kona on??

?

If by editing you mean processing... I have a Nikon D80 (DSLR) and I shoot in RAW. You have to use a program to process the RAW files such as Photoshop. But with those last two images I took multiple exposures and merged them into one photo. Unfortunitly a camera doesn't capture the same thing you see through your eyes. It's much more complicated than that.

I'm not sure which island it's on but I can tell you it's the one with active lava flow. It's truly amazing seeing a field of volcanic rock that was once lava!

Well you're speaking in some tech talk that I don't know lol. You sound like a solid new member though. Always good to have and I look forward to what you'll bring us in the future. As to the pictures they're amazing and you should consider selling them. Have fun with the rest of your trip and take some more pictures!!

in less technical terms bucks, you could achieve the look a multitude of ways, one in which im familiar is, is changing the shutter speed [which is how long the shutter is open to capture a picture] so he left his shutter speed higher so that it will stay open and catch the movement of the water so that the water doesnt have direct definition its all meshed together

Yeah I got that part just not the whole RAW thing and HDR but I don't need to know so it's okay. Great pictures still.

Lol all good.

Sorry, when you're real passionate about something you tend to get caught up in it Winky Winky. Short terms, slow shutter speed, say 5 seconds.. the shutter stays open for 5 seconds and therefor any moving objects will be blurred. Smile

It's good to be here, I was over at nextgenboards for a bit and it started to be overrunned with children =\ haha.
