Fonts.
Photoshop comes with some standard fonts which can be effective sometimes but you can download other fonts aswell. I Recommend:

those are the best three in my opinion. All you have to do to install these fonts are
1: Unzip the font and the file will be a .ttf file.
2: Windows 7/Vista: Right-click on the font files > "Install"
Windows XP: Put the font files into C:\Windows\Fonts
Mac OS X: Double-click the font file > "Install font" button. (copied from dafont.com)
3: Open Photoshop up and you will see it in the list when you use the Type Tool.

Brushes

Brushes are what you use most of the time on your render.
1: you need to find the brushes that suit what your doing. go to these sites below and download loads of cool looking brushes.

DeviantArt - You must login or register to view this content.
Brusheezy - You must login or register to view this content.
You must login or register to view this content.

those two will pretty much have everything that everyone else already has.

2: Download the brushes you like the look of and then unzipp them so that it gives you a .abr file.
3: Now move this file to Program Files > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CS5 > Presets > Brushes
4: Now open Photoshop and click brush. and then select open the brushes up click the little arrow and click load brushes like the image below

You must login or register to view this content.

5: Just select the brushes you just downloaded and then they will be in ur brush pallet.
