It looks pretty cool. I'm sure you could mess around with it and make something awesome!

Whenever I get bored with PhotoShop, I usually just mess around with the brushes and in the end, it turns out to be something creative :]

Parts of it are good, and other parts look poor. I don't know what you originally had in mind to make with the pen tool, but it doesn't seem that you started by making an orb. It's ok I guess though....
