I'm sure gimp is great to first learn in... but it's not a bad thing to switch over to PS. With your skills you could create masterpieces.
I don't see what terminate says lol.. Only see a border added. Composition looks great to me and the only thing that I don't like is the text. It takes my focus away from the beautiful, colorful eye. Not sure what you could replace that black bar with but anyways.. Looks great.
V2 - Black border looks real nice on this white template.
EDIT:
On second thought, that purple glare (not sure what it is exactly) should go away and also get rid of the black bar. All my opinion of course
