I know it's not great, but any help on how I can improve it is welcome.

I really like the blue dude, not sure about the orange and blue line though. You might want to make the blue line (portal) a darker blue, and maybe circular. I like it though

I tried making them look circular by cutting the corners off the lines, not sure if that's what you meant though.

thats what i need to make a portal sig (best game ever <3)
love the text dont now about the while "cake is a lie" (it wasnt)
and dont like the dots on the left side
but i doesnt look you did much to this

Agreed, Portal is one of the best games.
"cake is a lie" is a reference to the writing on the walls in Portal. (I know there was actually cake at the end though)
The ''dots'' are personality cores from GLaDOS, thought the left side was a bit plain, so I decided to add them.
I know I haven't done much to it, I don't usually make these sort of things.
