Had about 30 mins today to spend on something finally. I went abstract with light. Everything is made from scratch except Jessica. Hope you like.
What did you use for the little thing holding the light and good job :y:
I used the pen tool to draw the basic line. Then i added a bevel/emboss and merged the layer with another to get rid of the blending options. By merging i was able to erase the part above her face to make it look like it went behind her. Then i made about 3 or 4 different layers lighting it with screen/softlight to match the flow of light coming off the orb. The orb of light was made by drawing a circle, filling it with light orange then dodging/burning to give it the glowing effect. I also used liquify to make the tentacle thing look like it's holding the orb.

Lighting is well, just lighting. It's what gives a piece of art that specific depth texture. There is no style to it.
Abstractness, however, can apply to the flow of a signature. :y:

I agree, as an abstract artwork can be something apart from the norm. I pretty much labeled this piece abstract cause you don't see many sigs with tentacles holding glowing orbs lighting jessica alba's face.
