(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Im thinking of starting a little youtube channel with a friend for speed arts and such, but im finding that the format i record in is saving the videos at over 2gb does anyone know of a good way to correct this?

Probably should go in the video sections, but just go into output format and choose a lower qualtiy

sorry im fairly new to the forums and wasnt sure where this should go, i tried that but i want a good compromise between quality and file size

You are probably saving it in an uncompressed format like .AVI
What you want to do is save it in the codec H.264 it is a high quality compressed codec.
Moved to Video Editing and design room.

i always use wmv format....best for quality/size

yes high quality but it's the heaviest codec for me

I don't make much videos but I PM'd iDuels2010 on Youtube asking what file format he used and he said H.264. If you don't know him, I suggest you check him out ASAP :p

i know, h264 is really the best because it's a hq codec of mp4, but it isn't a compressed format...just this

How long is 2gb worth of your video? Because that's not that bad if it's a long time.
