(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Basically me and a mate are going to try and design an app this summer. Im on graphic design duty. I have experience in graphic design and I reckon I could do it but was wondering if anyone knew what the best program to use was and if there are any good tuts on making like, sprites. I mainly use Photoshop but Im thinking Illustrator might be a better program? but Im not sure.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, wasnt sure whether to put it in 'Ipod Discussion' or 'Graphics Discussion'.....

Yeh I've used Photoshop for several years, I reckon with a bit of practice I could be good at it. Just wondering though when it comes to making say, a sprite, or a game map, is Photoshop really the best option? Is that what all app designers use? What did Rovio use to make the graphics for Angry Birds I wonder...

Wrong, various programs can be suit various jobs. All of which are dependent on what the users is best at.

You may want to use a combination of the 2, but it really depends on what you're most comfortable with. Personally, I'd just get it all done on photoshop as that is the one I have the most experience with and know my way around.

in angry bird they would have used llustrator and may some photoshop
but i would use illustrator for the charcters and maybe the menus
and photoshop for the backgrounds and others stuff
