Hellow , i'm recording a lot of mw2 / Cod4 / Black ops gameplay with a pinnacle moviebox HD , the quality is pretty good for a SD capture card but i only have one problem. I use pinnacle studio 14 to capture the video. And i can't get it full screen i always have 2 black borders (left and right). After i captured the video i edit with sony vagas pro 10 but after rendering i still have those black borders , can someone help me to have full screen video's ?
Here is an example of a video (not edited) so you can see what i mean by black borders ;-).

that is just simply your resolution, Since you are using a dazzle it will only record in SD, square shaped, to get it to fill the screen you will then need to EDIT the video and change the resolution to a more rectangled shape 1080x720 (720p) but upscaling to HD can make SD footage distorted

No he's wrong. You're playing in 16:9, but your exporting at 4:3. Fix you're export settings. Make sure you pick a size with a 16:9 aspect ration such as 640x360.

Again 640 x 360 is a widescreen resolution, but still SD so not wrong

You can clearly see in the video he is playing in 16:9, but the exported video is in 4:3, so yes, you are wrong. Also anything up to 720x480 is standard definition. And yes, 720x480 is 4:3 but 704x480 is also SD.
doesnt bloody mater what he records in, but either way he is recording in a SD format and exporting in an SD format, Not only a SD format but like you say 4:3, but if he just changes his resolution to a 16:9 format (Changes the resolution) he wont have them black borders
