ermm. you could easily use a clipping mask, and change the opacity. without having to touch anything in blending options :derp:

Blending option is for the dropshadow you do need this tutorial lol

well, I actually don't user drop shadow..
I always used a brush for it... because the shadows are all in the same direction...if you understand that.
