Interesting Psychosis. For your first sort of abstract sig I will say it is very good indeed. You already seem to know how to use clipping masks and seem to have scanlines already made. The background needs a little work but you show great potential buddy.

For a first piece this is pretty good. You've got the grasp of a few things already such as blending modes and clipping masks (both of which can be very useful) As a sig I think it could do with a small bit of work, maybe using a different background for starters and using the blur tool a bit. I know the blur tool can be learned later, but it's pretty simple and has amazing effects. Simply gently blur parts of the sig that are not the main focus (which I suggest is the large bit at the right) and you'll give the impression of depth to it. Depth is a fantastic effect to add to a sig and can make a regular sig look 10 times better if used properly. Just don't blur too much and you can't really go wrong.
