I'm doing a multimedia production course so I'll be learning to do video editing and graphics editing as part of some modules but I wanna get a jump start on editing videos mainly so I can pretty much do better than everybody else. I'm using a Mac, can't help it they're the only computers in the college, so refer to programs that are for Mac OS. We can use Windows XP with the Macs too buy I'm not sure if it's possible to edit a video on a mac program and then add some other shit with a windows program, maybe somebody here will know.
I'll just link some examples of what I wanna learn briefly here.
I'll hopefully have a GoPro HD Hero 60fps soon enough to start messing around with and getting used to it, but I wanna find out about how to make video go slow motion like they do in this video here. Is it done through an editing program or can the camera do that itself?
3D writing/text put in videos as effects, is it hard to do? What's needed to do that shit? An example is this video by Eminem and Royce
General editing, music to choose that'd be appropriate for different videos and just basically everything else, how can one get used to doing that? Joehands0me's clips and editing is a good example of what I'd like to be able to do easily for projects etc.
And idueli2010 has some crazy shit that could be incorporated into many videos, he uses some unique methods of editing. I've watched montages from CoD and CS for years and he's one of the most original editors I know of.
Even if you just know programs that are/were used for some of them videos I posted it'd be a help so I can do a bit of research and get practicing with them.
as far as the slow motion you wanna do, which program are you going to use for video editing? both sony vegas and after effects have a plugin called twixtor that is one of or the best slow motion tools for video editing & with 60 fps your videos will come out smooth :black:
