Yea getting sexy depth is hard unless you wanna go lazy and get that ugly depth by just blurring the background, i also have issues with c4d's i can't use them well

it's more in selection of them o.O and sometimes u have to re-color to keep a color scheme and such. C4D's are awesome xD

Do a barrel roll!
The light sources and depth are the main things off about this. The soft yellow brushes just don't work here, they look out of place and lower its appeal. You can try using the lighting filters to get some good lighting or with a soft brush fill in the canvas with black and the bits you want to light up with some white or bright yellow and set it to soft light.

The c4ds on the left are way too sharp imo. You can get some good depth (read: not ugly :P ) by using the blur tool at about 3% strength and a large soft brush. Apply a layer and just do a smooth sweep over it a few times and you'll notice a difference. If you feel you've gone over it too much use a layer mask to remove parts without damaging them. The smudging on the right side is pretty nice, gives a nice flow to it. The c4d just before the smudging though kinda interrupts it all and could probable be removed or relocated.
