First of you'll need a Capture Card or Cap Card. Now in America, the most popular brand is Dazzle which supports NSTC (American TV). I would recommend this to Americans. While in England, a popular brand is EasyCAP, which supports PAL (English TV). Once again I recommend EasyCAP to English people (EasyCAP is aslo compatible with European TV's).

You can usually find one of these on eBay (as I did). They get sold cheap but certianly do a good job.

EasyCAP

If you are looking to buy one now from eBay(UK) - You must login or register to view this content.
If you are looking to buy one now from eBay(US) - You must login or register to view this content.

Now let's say we've got our EasyCAP, we have to now get the features (which aren't included). You will need ...

x1 PC/Laptop with Recorder Software (included with Cap Card) Installed on PC
x1 TV
x1 Splitter Stackable Y/AV Cable PHONO/RCA Audio Video (Various sizes are available)
You must login or register to view this content.

x1 Joiner/Extender/Coupler/Connector PHONO/RCA (Optional)
You must login or register to view this content.

x1 RGB Component Video PHONO Lead Y,Pr,Pb (Various sizes are available)
You must login or register to view this content.

Now listen up! Plug your EasyCAP into your PC via USB. Then you connect the Splitter Stackable (Red, White, Yellow) cable to the EasyCAP, which is Red to Red, Yellow to Yellow and White to White (S-Video will not be used). (Optional) Connect the Joiner/Extender/Coupler/Connecter onto the end of the Splitter Stackable (Red, White, Yellow) cable. Once this is done, you need the RGB Component and plug this into the other, empty side of the Connecter. Once this is done, you should be able to reach your TV. Simply plug it into the Red, Yellow and White slots.

If you really still don't understand, what I have just said, then please take a minute to watch this video.

Hi guys, got a PS3 40 GB and a Sony Bravia, so i've got a HD TV. I have a Mac instead of Windows. We also have a DVD-recorder. So, i think i got everything i need, maybe except for a cable or 2, but can anyone explain to me as clear as possible how to record my stuff?
