you did great. first time ive ever see you pull off blending/effects like this.
not applied to the best sig but i do see the effort.
use this same style on a different render and different color scheme and you will see how nice your outcome will be

I wish NGU had an emoticon thingi i use on msn, it'd be really appropriate now =/ Anyways thx i spent most of the time blending this 1 :p
