Ok i know theres a sticky about this but its pretty old now. soo..
i really do suggest you read this and the stickied post by mystery before you
start GFXing
Ok so this is my begginers guide on your signatures i even recomend reading this before you read any tutorial, because tutorials depend on you having the right tools, brushes etc. so lets get started.
1.getting your resources,
these websites listed below will be a major part in your gfxing so take good not e in them,
rendersites:
You must login or register to view this content. (this is probably the best site for renders)
or You must login or register to view this content.
brushes, etc:
You must login or register to view this content. (again this is probably the best for brushes)
Stocks:
You must login or register to view this content. (make sure its big and HIGH QUALITY!)
ok i'll just say when you want a brush pack from deviant-art type in
what programme your using for photoshop type Ps then type the brush pack you want E.G:
Ps splatter brushes,
Ps abstract brushes,
Ps Vector brushes,
i recomend downloading a few brush packs after you read this guide.
Now the lay-out of photoshop
these are the windows that should
ALWAYS BE OPEN
You must login or register to view this content.
now you have the right windows open these settings are helpful for smudging:
You must login or register to view this content.
when your using the brush tool i suggest you leave the settings on default, or
you could always experiment.
Creating your backgrounds!:
ok creating a good background can be quite hard my preferd way of making a
BG is smudging the stock and then duplicating the render (CTRL+J when the layer of the render is selected) remember when smudging a BG smudge with flow E.G: smudge to the top right, otherwise it could turn out quite messy k?
suggested size canvas for a sig:
somthing like 350-400x145-175.
as you get better at GFX then experiment with sizes.
the main elements of a GREAT sig:
a good background,
a HQ render and the render should not have to much clothes all over the place.
blending,
contrast,
no clashing colours!,
flow,
depth.
well theres many other things you should think about, but i cant remember much more lol if you think of anything please comment it!
ok now i think your set for making a good sig, try following somones beginer tutorial i will be realising one very soon!!

please comment and thank me!
