oh okay but which should i get guys im stuck between an elgato HD Game Capture or Hauppage HD PVR?

I would recommend the elgato, it's a lot smaller and can record with hdmi (on xbox) and component (for ps3) in 720p (or 1080i) (same as hauppage).
it outputs in hdmi (very good if you're using a monitor but also amazing if you're using an hd tv or 3dtv...
Its practically just like the hd pvr except smaller.
Another really cool feature is that it automatically saves everything so if you forgot to record something you can go back to that place ans start recording from there!
