You could make a background lol add some gradient and a c4d and trying messing with the lasso tool and use overlay, vivid light, softlight etc lol. Im not really great at explaining xD

Most beginners start out with just a render on a background.
It's best if you read some beginner tutorials, such as blending, and getting to know what each photoshop/gimp(whatever you use) tool does.

need a background cos its too plain and boring, try watchin some tuts to help you
