I think you're "Failed attempt" is better.

What I want you to work on by reading and watching tutorials is this:

Lighting, Depth, Flow.

These three things are the main features that brings a signature together. You'll not find one signature that has perfect lighting, flow and depth that would be considered a bad signature.

Have a look at the signature I made for you.

Flow is coming from the bottom right to the top left.
Lighting is top left and the shadowing is correct therefore creating good depth.

Also notice the colour. The dominance of pink/purple/reds and dark colours. This is another aspect to consider in your signatures.

I would suggest going to DeviantArt, or even here on NGU and read some beginner tutorials to help develop your skills. You've only had photoshop for 3 weeks and already you're better than I was at that stage. In fact, I was just awful, but hey we all start somewhere Smile

Im pretty new here but i still would like to give my feedback.. I might come off a lil harsh but just know its all for your good and im just trying to help Upside Down Happy

The first signature seems just a bit random.. all it looks liek you did was throw a background on there and slapped a focal ( render ) and then put some weird text.. Tbh don't even worry about text right now until you are comfortable with it. Text can make and break a tag..

You need to work on blending your focal with your background. How do you do this? Simple. You find a background or a stock that goes with your focal. For an example. You picked Goku.. Go with something Dragonball Z or something related to that. also your picking of focals is bad, you need to have actions in them so then you can figure out the flow and make amazing effects and depth with that action. It might sound hard to do but you will get it in time trust me Upside Down Happy

Second one. Im actually flattered because thats my Render that i made or cut. Upside Down Happy You must login or register to view this content.
but again you lack of what i posted above. your blending bro.. so im not going to repeat myself just work on them things and you will do wonders.. Check out Pimped Pixels thats where i use to go all the time. they have a school there that is free and you get assigned a teacher and they help you progress

I see potential in you so don't give up.. Hell go look at other peoples gfx and get inspired thats also what i do..

Best of luck to you man

I was going to write a detailed critique but I guess everything was said above. Your bgs are to dark for the render and what seyeko said they really dont provide much flow, try finding a render which has a movement to it so you can go from there. Keep it up!

My turn to critique
I sorta see what you're trying to do, and can tell you haven't quiet gotten the technique correctly. It looks slapped on which is your problem. Notice the renders sweater color, its a way different color than whats in the background, making it look like it doesn't belong. also that C4D looks like it was just put behind the render and left alone :( Poor C4D. Another thing I want to point out, look at the guys face, you can see theres a big light difference from the left and the right side of its face. Try adding that to your BG a bit, use a soft brush or even a curves layer to help with the lighting. Its not that I'm just pointing out the bad things to make you feel like crp and give up and think you'l never get it and become a failure at everything in life. lol Suggestion for this render type would be probably not to resize it so it fits exactly in the canvas, maybe just so you can see the arms and the head and thats it. So just fix the background, or maybe even get a picture of a skatepark and make that your background, try to get it to look like it belongs in the picture.Everything has to look like it belongs there. Add a few fractals, might help you get some lighting in this tag. A few gradients and other adjustments, help them blend a bit. Quick tip, control(command) + u will help you change the hue of a anything, that way you can try and get a C4D to get the colors around the render to make it belong. Erase some of what doesnt belong. Don't worry about the text for right now. Keep practicing and trying out new techniques and ideas until you finally get the hang of it and provide some of your own styles into it Smile

Would a PSD pack help you learn? So you can see what I mean by most of this and how you can get a certain effect? lol
