Get a better camera. Sharper focus necessary.

It's for a school project, and is intended to be grainy. Most people in my class are using old school 35mm cameras, but I wanted to go digital so that I could post it on here. So to achieve the grainy effect, I used a digital, non-SLR, camcorder.

I should have stated that in the OP, oh well.

Taken with a different camera. I couldn't get the lighting to work how I liked on this one..

Raise the exposure for the newest, and you can easily achieve a grainy effect through a program like GIMP or PS. That way you can have a sharp image, with a grainy feel.

Okay forget the sharpness Not Happy or Sad. How about the use of the EoA and PoD? I wanna know how I do with say balance, rule of thirds, etc...

For the Rule of Thirds, the first is the only one that follows it perfectly. The second one feels too pushed down, and the third one would do better with the angle of the shot being slightly downward, and the camera positioned an inch or two higher than it is.

But that's just my opinion. Photography isn't really my strong suit.
