Don't like it. The white text is WAY too much, and the red brush underneath it contrasts too much to the background.

the white brush is hideous and the red brush underneath i didn't even notice until i read zaks post the overall smudging and everything just doesnt seem to fit in and look good id rate it a 2/5 not good

lol oh well, I'll get better as I work at it. I find it strange that this is the only site I've gotten negative reviews though.

Probably because there are a lot of good GFXers here that actually know how to critique and do it honestly.

The Bird One Is The Best!

I personally see this site as more of a GFX community than a real GFX design forum. But I like places like this (hell, they're my favorite type of site) because I get the most feedback on the visual aspect of my tags, rather than the technical aspects.

Like, technically speaking, this is a well-done grunge tag. Visually, to me, it looks good, but to others it (obviously) doesn't. So now I need to try to adjust my style to make it both aesthetically and artistically better.

IMO, the text ruins this one =/, it stands out too much, it could stand out, because its obviously the focal, but not this much.

Also, although the technicalities behind gfx are important, to be honest its the end result which matters, just like with advertising. If the idea is for it to look good, the public arent going to look at the technicalities they're going to just look at the final result. So technicalities are only minorly important imo.

The first one doesn't make sense with the colors and the big font than the random smudging in front.
the second and thirs ones are SICK!
