nice, but very bulky in my opinion. For a first design, excellent. Now the key here is to look and find mistakes and improve.

Not bad, but too shiny

I personally think it looks too much like the old youtube design background, if you were aiming to make it look like that, mission accomplished, otherwise, I think you could make the main "information" block a bit bigger, allowing more information, etc.
