Looks like clipping masks with brushes underneath.

Not a huge fan of this, looks like the flow is forced. Very very plane with nothing exceptional going on. I understand you are trying to try something unique, so I can't be to harsh. Keep it up.

Yeah, I wanted to try this I saw a tutorial posted and instead of following the tut I just tried to mimic the concept.
I wasn't to pleased with the outcome, but then again I wasn't to hurt by it. The flow sucks :/ lol I accept that ! Yet again it's not my style and it felt good to draw away from the norm!

The entire project was black and white until i started adding color sources.

You should of added a shadow

That style wouldn't really look right with a shadow. Plus the only source of light in the picture is directly behind the text so there would be no shadow.
