Not a huge fan of the blur, but it's not that bad. All I can say is colors and lighting need work. Let's see some of the blue all around the focal actually affecting the focal itself, and maybe some of the light from the fractals, too.

I wanted to separate the blue from the focal, it adds the concept of insanity. but I don't think I should have put fractals in this, but meh.

It doesn't really add to the concept of insanity as much as it does the idea that there's something intrinsically wrong. I could see you going for a concept that everything is self-contained in the way the light from the box is affecting the outside as little as the color and light from the outside is affecting the focal.

The fractals aren't bad, per se... they definitely help your depth and overall composition. But they feel a little out of place just because they're so self-contained.

Well with a concept it's all about what's in the creator's mind, not so much other's.

True, but the great artists can convey their concepts to the world without needing to explicitly express it. Granted, art is only art if the viewer can look at it and question it (hence Magritte and Mucha being my favorite artists), but there should be some kind of general consensus.

True true, but a viewer must always try and understand what is coming from their mind first.
