Have you tried reinstalling? I know in the past people have had issues with blender being associated with file types. Try opening blender.. then clicking File->Open->Your file instead of clicking on the actual file to see if that will change anything.

It didn't help, it's ok tho, I just used Sony Vegas to do what I needed
