2 renders in one signature =bad focal/flow
Well never out two renders away from eachother because if you do happen to do that now you have two focals and wenonly want one and also the flow gets messed up since you have to make the effects go good with both renders. Other than that it looks like you have everything down i.e you have the light source. 3/5 novice

I would say the first is the best but get a font from dafont.com and use a clipping mask on it

Agree with what Dyna said, don't use 2 renders. Experiment with photoshop, and just play around with backgrounds and stuff. You'll learn new effects and get better at blending ect.
