this isnt a typical patch. they disabled the servers for that DNS, basically forcing anyone running that DNS to update. dont believe me but i was playing black ops when it happened so i know 100% for sure.

"Or he hasn't signed out of PSN since the patch n00b../facepalm" (zZER0Zz) You dont have to sign out NOOB. As soon as the patch hit, they mad it so you cant connect to servers with that DNS. So that means anyone running that DNS would be Unable to conect to ANY GAME SERVER until they update. Which means he wasnt ****ing playing with the DNS g...

"Look at your stats kid. Im ON 3.55 WITH the DNS playing mw2 as we speak. Would you LIKE me to record it???????" (SirBlazeAlot) That odd, because the DNS glitch has been patched, so thats very odd that your on something that doesnt even work anymore. you must have magical powers.

"Uhm that is incorrect/false my friend. Im playing mw2 right now. /facepalm" (SirBlazeAlot) Well thats contrary to what everyone else is experiencing, so im gonna have to call bullshit. It wont let you connect to any game servers until you update, and if you sign out of psn it wont let you sign in at all until you update

"Uhm im signed in with the DNS on 3.55... should i not sign out? lol." (SirBlazeAlot) Doesnt matter. it wont let you connect to any online games anyway, so being on a CFW is useless right now except for offline use.

"if ur bypass the 3.56 u dont need to update thats the whole idea of the bypass im on 3.55 and im online every day fine" (ninja12) The thing is that sony just released a patch to patch the DNS glitch that used to let you get online with 3.55 Now we cant get online again till we update.

"It Would Cost To Mch to run the server(decent server )" (MVRz) the term "Too much" is extremely subjective, and we arent exactly talking to poor people here.

"Why is it terrible? It does what it does... Just as much as Kmeaw if it dont get bricked. Ok people say Kmeaw doesnt brick(as much or not). True to that. But how is it terrible as a CFW? Explain... It boots, it runs, it supports everything..." (izyehboy) It bricks, and there are multiple conflicting reports of what systems it will brick, so insta...

Kmeaw is BY FAR the safest and most compatible with backups.

Ok, so ive read on a couple other TUTS to put the game files in the GAMEZ folder that the backup manager creates, but this TUT is telling me to put it in the hdd0/games folder. Which one do i actually put it in?

"i downloaded the collection, and when i play Super Mario Bros 1, i cant get past world 0-1. I finish the world and instead of taking me to the next world (1-1) it just makes me replay world 0-1 again. any help getting past 0-1? i noticed if i use the right joystick that i can bring up a menu to chose levels but i havnt been able to figure out how...

Ive had to do all my CFW updates in Recovers except Geohotz. for some reason, his went throught reguar update fine.

Just note that the TUT only provides instruction on how to play a backup that you created. it does not show you how to boot a backup from an internet downloaded backup pkg file

"After watching the first 6 seconds of that video, i think it is only necessary i start making a cool tutorial for ya. 8) at the end of his thread, he says "to add: how to play backups of downloadable games" hopefully he will add that soon so i can get the vid goin' :shiver:" (DiJiTaLGoDz) i hope theres a tut soon because im sup...

(Thanitos) i completely understand how to do that, but how do you make it work with a backup that youve downloaded off the internet?
