no linux versions work on pearpc because the boot file size is too large, im not sure what other type of powerpc emulators there are

Posted by ishauny , 12-23-2011 05:12 PM.

You need to have a powerpc based system, buy a sata cable, install linux, download gits, compile gits, install headers, and disable by connecting hdd to pc, view files in linux OR install windows, get ufs explorer and copy your files. So NO its not as easy as it sounds :P. Nobody even knows if it works, but do not want to mess with the almighty po...

IS there an OS or app for linux that emulates powerpc?

"yeah i extracted them all in the bin folder?" (EPiK) When you get ps3dm-utils and linux_hv_scripts they must be in a folder with those folder names ( ps3dm-utils and linux_hv_scripts) in /home which they should do anyway. the precompiled ones already have a bin folder in them and you just copy the files in that bin to your bin folder in your insta...

"The farther i got with this is till i get this ; " bash: /bin/ps3dm_sm: Permission denied " and dont say i dont have permisions because im "root"...." (dannyelstanx) use sudo before the command (sudo ps3dm_utils .. ), if it says it doesnt work its probably cause the headers are not installed or something "First of All Thank...

"ps3dm is not a directory? so how does that work." (EPiK) try /home/(youruser)/ps3dm-utils or sudo /home/(youruser)/ps3dm-utils should work unless you put ps3dm-utils in dif folder

if you connect a lan cable to ur pc and ps3 you can bridge their connections if you set the right ip's and stuff im sure

Posted by ishauny , 11-12-2011 09:08 PM.

Posted by ishauny , 11-02-2011 10:05 PM.

"It can be done, I've done it before but it's near impossible, both users need to have their internet connections that the PS3 is using in DMZ's, and have open NAT types, with no connection problems between both people, you basically need to set it up like both PS3's are directly connected to each other over the internet like th...
