Hmm, might seem like the iPad is a bit more limited in functions compared to this other thing, but I don't see how the other thing could have used Apple apps so I don't think it's that much of a ripoff.

Personally, I'd never buy an iPad. It just looks dumb, having such a big thing with u. I'll stick with my iphone, thats better tbh.

Although they have similar specs, I don't think it is that big of a ripoff.

Apple is trying to promote the iPad as a better E-Reader than the Nook (from Barnes & Noble) and the Kindle (From Amazon) and as a more versatile tablet PC.

Now I have never heard of this HTC, and I don't think that it was really marketed or promoted, but just because they have similar specs, it doesn't mean that they have similar purposes and that Apple is ripping HTC off.
