the files is in zip format right now just under .IPSW. if you change the .ipsw to .zip windows can unzip it also I tried compressing the file with winrar to zip format and it gained 34 kbs so it would be best just to download it.

Just shift + restore in iTunes any firmware, this isn't a frikin PS3 we are talking about!
