And now that the expected launch date for the 3G iPhone is few days away, those who are planning to purchase the gadget are also planning to tighten their belts just to save up enough money to buy the latest Apple toy. But this might not be the case one the 3G iPhone is already out in the market. Rumors had it that the 3G iPhone can be availed for only 100 English pounds.
O2 is slashing £100 off the price of the 8GB Apple iPhone, fueling speculation that a 3G iPhone will be launched in June.
O2 confirmed that the price of the 8GB iPhone will drop to £169 on all iPhone tariffs from tomorrow, 16 April, in an offer that will run until 1 June 2008. The price of the 16GB iPhone will not be affected however, remaining at £329.
The O2 move comes amid growing speculation that Apple is lining up its much-awaited 3G iPhone launch for June.
