Right this works because i have the same ipod touch as you and i have just jailbroken mine to test it before saying.

Go to You must login or register to view this content. and choose what type of software your running on Mac, Linux or Windows
Download it then extract the green poison file
Open green poison and have your ipod turned of and click ready follow the on screen instructions and it will work
