Yes this person is correct ([RiS3] fbx94xRoasted Bacon) you need the shsh blobs i no this because i spent days trying to get around it.:n00b::banhamma:
In the end i had to update to 4.3 then jailbreak with the snowbreeze tethered 2.3b which is probably the step you will have to take if you want to update.

its fine, i put in dfu mode & it finally popped up i had to click restore n update so its doing its thing now. thanks guys

And... thats the result you get if you dont have the 4.2.1 shsh blobs.
Trust me mate save your self some time and just go to 4.3 you will keep coming across errors otherwise.
obviously you don't have to take my word for it and keep trying but as i said i was racking my brains for a couple of days tring to bypass it

Ya man you would have needed to save the blobs for 4.2 to be able to downgrade to it. Just update to 4.3 and wait for the JB or just use the tethered jailbreak for it. Trust me when I updated to 4.0 I tried like hell for 1 week trying to go back to 3.1.3. But I didn't have the blobs and it was impossible.

Just download You must login or register to view this content. to save your SHSHBlobs ! To save it just open tinyumbrella and conect your iDevice and in tinyubrella press "Save ShSh" and when it end press "Star TSS Server" and now restore your iDevice (select your .ipsw)
