(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); kay well my ipod is on 4.1 jailbrokin, but i need restore it & i wanna update it to 4.2 instead of 4.3 . so what should i do?, how do i update to 4.2 instead of 4.3?

Ok. Pretty Simple.

First go to You must login or register to view this content. and download the 4.2 firmware for your device.

Then hold the shift key (OPT key on Mac) and click on restore or update and it should ask you to select an iPWS file. Just simply select the fille you downloaded and TADA, your done. Smile

well thats what i did && now something went wrong & my ipod is stuck on the apple boot logo w/ a white loader? is my ipod broke or is this fixable?

Go into DFU mode and update it

You can google DFU mode theres a ton of tutorials

kay i think i found a good tut, i gotta charge it then ill try it again. but i was trying it for a minute and i kept getting the connect to itunes instead of it going black. btw ill try again, if i get it to go black and pop up in itunes all ill need to do is click update, correct?

I don't think you can update to 4.2 because apple stopped signing that FW. The only way you could is if you had the blobs for 4.2 (do you?). If not, it won't let you do it. You'd have to go to 4.3 if you wanted to restore.
