We can't exactly tell you which phone you should purchase because it's put all on personal preference. Put it to you this way.

Blackberry = Business Phone - Approx 20k apps - Very good for email/texting
Smartphones = Entertainment phones - upwards of 300k apps - good with everything basically

Xperia play I'd take out of the question as that phones basically used for gaming on the go..so unless you want to play games while out,, like actual games don't bother getting this phone, just get the arc.

Other than that the opinion is up to you, go to your local phone store and try the phones out and see which one you like.

To me, a Droid is a much better option than all of your choices. I have a Blackberry and I hate it. The app store sucks. And the customization is terrible. Having a Droid is like having another computer.

Since iPhone isn't one of your choices I would suggest something along the lines of an HTC or a Samsung Android phone. I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for though. Based on the information there, I would say that it's really up to you.

Blackberry is good, but it's my least favorite out of the three. The physical keyboards are very irritating as you constantly need to be using the alt key for punctuation. Which is why all of the people who use BBM sound like 3 year old's half the time. If you are someone who has a ton of friends with Blackberries, then go for it.

Get the sony ARC or wait for the ARC Pro.
It's so slim and stylish.

Or get an iphone if you want to play games.
