Sprint actually has a pretty good deal going on right now.Where if you trade in your iphone 4 you'll get 100$ off a new iphone 4s so you might want to look into that.Also there unlimited data plans are pretty affordable.Hope this helps

thanks. But i am looking to stay away from contracts. i'm more swayed towards prepaid plans because i dont have to worry about contracts.

T-Mobile has a pretty good 4G Monthly Prepaid plan that's $30 for 100 minutes and unlimited text and web (5GB at 4G speed, then it goes down to 2G). They actually have a lot of combinations and things you can check out here:

Ya it is exclusive to Walmart and T-Mobile.com, but I've heard of people still getting the deal by contacting T-Mobile and asking them for it or something like that for a new activation. Sometimes they'll do it for you even when you dont buy a phone from Walmart.

Or if that doesn't work, you could just buy the cheapest T-Mobile prepaid phone from Walmart which is like $17 and just switch the simcard after.

What do you mean anything special? I don't think so. When I bought my T-Mobile phone (the Samsung Exhibit II) from Walmart I got the sim card and an activation code for the $30 plan. Not sure about buying the sim card separate since I didn't do that.
