Hello I'm MLGKitty and I want to start out that I have never actually had a smartphone or any kind of phone for that matter. I need some help and some of your own personal opinions on which phone I should get. Here is what i am looking for: I am looking for a phone like most of the other kids at my school have. I have recently earned $300 in chores and other little jobs so the maximum price has to be $300. By what "the other kids at my school have" I am talking about those phones with all the apps and that has internet on it and stuff. I'm not looking for something top of the line. I was considering an iphone but my friends said not to because they break too easy or something. I also have questions on what contracts are as I have never purchased a phone I have no idea of what they are really used for. Overall I'm looking for a semi-cheap, durable, internet capable phone. I would also like to know how unlimited texting/calls and plans work. I would like to hear your opinions and answers to my questions. Thanks for your help.

Okay. Since it'll be your first smartphone, I totally recommend the Samsung Galaxy Ace.
It's an amazing phone for its price and it'll be great for your first smartphone. I don't recommend going for an iPhone 4s since it'll be your first. With the Galaxy Ace, you'll be expecting to pay around $100-200 at-least for it, which is amazing phone for the price.
It's 3.5" with a 5MP camera. You have a 3G network so you can connect to the internet and when at home, connect to your wireless router etc.. and go to the Android Market (Play Store) and download the apps that take your please.
Overall an amazing phone and very durable. Sure, it certainly beats my first phone..
