Just as the title says, I just want to hear others' reasons behind why they dislike having a phone. Reasons they think life would be better without one.
Note that I'm only speaking of cellular phones. I get why phones exist.
I love my phone. I really do. It's just like a mini computer. And that's what I use it as. My android is like my mini Linux box. I just dislike the whole idea of constant contact. Cell phones don't allow for you to shut away anymore. Simply because I have one, I have to keep it with me and on. Parents get upset if I don't answer, people get upset if I don't,etc...
I feel like people take texting way too seriously, too. If I don't answer, they get upset with me, if I answer when I don't want to, they think I'm upset with them. It's a cycle. It's the same reason that Facebook is no good.
I feel like life would be better without it sometimes, but I know that it's such a godsend sometimes, such as when you're in trouble or need to talk to someone then, or just look up directions.
Anyone else feel the same as I do? I'll also have some better reasons once I see some others replies. I have many more reasons to why I don't like them, but I can't remember them right now.
I personally need my phone but If I owned an iphone I would not need that ever because I cannot stand the iphone all the rage with them is ridiculous stop making new ones already ! lol .
