First of just wanted to say that this only works with the UK (zDeeZer said it works for all I can't confirm this myself but I am sure you can) maybe if someone tweaks it or messes around with it you can make it work otherwise.
I haven't come up with this idea but since no-one has mentioned it after the whole bypass fiasco I thought I may as well.
This is all thanks to BrinkerzHD I found it out from him many months ago video link to his tutorial and files that you need will be below.
Here is BrinkerzHD video tutorial
Text tutorial
First download these files You must login or register to view this content.
-In the root of your usb put the multiman file and the 1.11 PKG file
-Go on the ps3 and install multiman and then install the 1.11 PKG file
-Open up your FTP (blackb0x, rebug toolbox etc) open up Filezilla or any FTP server
-Go to dev_hdd0 then game and then bles00683 folder, open USDIR and drag the EBOOT.BIN on to your desktop
-Go back to your bles folders and open up the bles80608 folder open it and open USDIR drag the EBOOT.BIN from your desktop in to this folder and overwrite
-Go back a folder and drag the PARAM.SFO to your desktop
-Now open the folder you downloaded and open the SFO editor, once you done that load the PARAM.SFO file you dragged to your desktop. Change the title to MW2 BYPASS and then save
-Now go back to filezilla and drag the PARAM.SFO which you just edited in to the folder you originally got it from.
-Go back on to your PS3 put your MW2 disc in make sure it doesn't load and disable the internet once you done that open the multiman folder NOT THE GAME.
-Start multiplayer once it's loaded quit the game. Now load blackb0x and open filezilla again.
-Go to dev_hdd0 then game and open the BLUS30377 folder. Open the USRDIR. Open the folder you downloaded and then open the "1.11 PKG files for USRDIR" drag the contents in to the filezilla folder and put your desired 1.11 patch in to the folder as well.
-Now go back a folder and delete the icon and replace it with the bypass icon which is in the downloaded folder. Now on the root of your usb put the 1.14 PKG and go on your ps3.
-Install the 1.14 PKG and go back to filezilla on your computer. Go to dev_hdd0 then game and bles80608 delete the icon and put the bypass icon in there again. Go to bles00683 delete the icon and replace it with the retail icon. Go to USRDIR and put the 1.14 patch you want in there.
That's it all done. The multiman pkg can be replace by gaia manager which is what I used.
Thanks to BrinkerzHD for his great video tutorial and for the method.
