Debug/modified eboots are required for this to work.

Ok i saw this on here a few days ago and it really didnt have a good tutorial so i thought i will make a new one with an in depth tutorial.

Step 1. Download your Mw2 Patch of choice - Mine would be AMG 1.14 P.P *Download* - You must login or register to view this content.

Step 2. Download PS3 ModernWarfare 2 Zone Editor *Download* You must login or register to view this content.

Step 3. Open the zone editor, It should look like this...
You must login or register to view this content.

Step 4. Click Extract Zone file
You must login or register to view this content.

Step 5. Locate your patch when prompted and click ok and it will extract the zone file

Step 6. Open a Hex editor *Heres a download link for the on i use* - You must login or register to view this content.

Step 7. Open the zone file you just extracted

Step 8. Now click *CTRL+F* and search *player_pop_publiclobby* Make sure you have "Make sure Foward is ticked in the search direction" You must login or register to view this content.

Then Search again to get the second string
You must login or register to view this content.

when found it will be highlighted.
You must login or register to view this content.

Step 9. Change "player" In to what ever you like (But it must be 6 characters long, Color also counts as a character)

So for example: ^2GoDz will be acceptable and ^2IMoD and Subscribe to.... Will not be acceptable and you will just end up with a black screen

So it should look like this
You must login or register to view this content.

Step 10.

Save the file and quit the program

Step 11. Open The Ps3 ModernWarfare 2 zone editor again and click compress zone file You must login or register to view this content.

A box should apear asking you to locate your zone file, find your zone file click it then another box will ask you to where you would like to save the patch_mp.ff. You can overwrite the existing patch or you can save it somewhere different. Up to you.

And now your done just use some homebrew to install it on your ps3 and your name should different when you find a game and it prompts you in to a lobby.

Thanks i hope this was useful and i tried to make it as in depth as best i can

Thanks for your patience Woot

Try a clean patch and if it works just put the zone file from that clean patch and place it in the mod menu patch

It wouldn't work because the .zone of the clean fast file if I injected it into my patch would overwrite all of the modded .cfg files
