When you bypass, the game thinks 1.11 is the latest update, but everyone else is using the actual latest update which is the 1.14 update, so you can't play with anyone besides other modders who are currently bypassing MW2. It may seem like you can't join others with bypass, but you can. I found a few bypass players in a TDM lobby but there were still not enough players to start the match.
