Alright so I'm pretty sure that connecting it straight to the internet connection will give you nat type 1, Go into network setting go down to status connection list and scroll down and check what kind of nat type you have (Nat Type 2 or Nat Type 3) if it's 3 I'm sorry to say but you're fuuukd xD (in case it's three just call up your internet people and ask them to help you get it to 2) now if it's nat type 2 strict, then just open your routers settings and turn off the firewall.

Ok so I looked around on the internet and I my NAT Type from 3 to 2. Now whenever I choose Force Host I may find a game after awhile, but then I just get disconnected from my internet.

The same thing happened to me. I was desperate to get it opened because you can't be a host with bad connection;0 Try to go on your ps3's network settings and just set them on custom settings as if you were going to connect it to the internet make sure UpNp is enabled that helps too.

Ok so I tried that and on the connenction test it said that UpnP was "not available". Should I go hardwired connection? Thanks for all the help +rep
