what i would do is try a patch which works then you can see if it's a patch problem or something else

Sounds to me like you were trying to use a 1.11 patch on 1.14 which won't show up at all... That is just what I am guessing anyways.. if you were trying to use a 1.11 patch make sure you delete the default_mp.self then try starting the game up otherwise it won't work... Glad you got it working now though!
